This is already the sixth seminar on standardization with the participation of representatives of the business community of the North Kazakhstan region, held by the Kazakhstan Institute for Standardization and Certification. This year, due to the current situation in the country caused by the coronavirus pandemic, it was difficult to conduct the seminar in the usual format, so the moderators of the seminar decided to hold the event in an online format.
This year's seminar brought together standardization specialists from government bodies, National Chamber of Entrepreneurs, associations, universities, as well as experts from test centers and industrial enterprises in the region. 66 standardization specialists - engineering, construction, road and other industries of the region have registered to participate in the seminar.
During the training, the participants were presented with a number of presentations on the general regulatory framework in the field of the national standardization system. They studied the basics of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On standardization", the use of documents on standardization, the rules for developing a national standardization plan and national standards. Particular attention was paid to the practice of applying international standards in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
For the first time, the participants studied the issue of the practical application of legislation on standardization and technical regulation in the implementation of public procurement, examined in more detail the issues of state control and supervision in the field of technical regulation, ensuring the uniformity of measurements, accreditation in the field of conformity assessment, both at the national level and within the EAEU.
As part of the training seminar, the participants were presented with a system of technical regulation and access of products for export to the markets of such priority countries as: China, Iran, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates and Germany (in terms of organic products).
As noted by the participants, the advantages of training in this format are the opportunity to get answers to questions of concern at first hand, as well as to exchange experience with colleagues - specialists from other organizations. Numerous discussions during the seminar help company representatives to improve their qualifications, and tutors to learn more about the needs of enterprises in the region. In particular, within the framework of the seminar, a discussion took place on product certification, on the application of standards in public procurement, etc.
A large number of questions from the participants arising in practice showed a high level of audience preparation. Participants suggested holding similar events more often and expanding the format with the participation of international lecturers.
